About Us

Welcome to ittybittyladybug.com - A classic children's boutique with an Asian flair!  Our site was inspired by our cousin Taylor who was adopted from the MaoNan Orphanage in MaoMing City, Guangdong Province, China.

Taylor has enriched the lives of her family and friends in countless ways since the start of the adoption process.  Taylor's arrival, in January of 2006, was the beginning of an amazing new journey in all our lives.

According to Chinese folklore, a ladybug weaves an invisible red thread that connects those who are destined to be a part of a newborn baby's life.  The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break.

As we waited for Taylor's arrival, we found that the invisible red thread did indeed bring her family and friends even closer together.  All joined in the anticipation and excitement of welcoming a new child into their lives.

To us, the ladybug symbolizes the love we feel for our children and our joy in being a part of their lives.  We view the red thread as a reminder of how we are all connected to one another in our humanity.

At ittybittyladybug.com our goal is to offer high quality, unique items that blend Asian and Western cultures.  We strive to feature practical and delightful products that remind us of our children's dual heritage.

To those families adopting or expecting a child, we wish you an abundance of love, joy and good fortune.
